HUUC’s Sunday Morning Worship Service is as diverse as the individuals who attend. Service topics range from ecology to serendipity, civil rights to UU morals and ethics, Christian teachings to earth based traditions.

We take great pride in our inclusivity and build services with elements attractive to humanists, naturists, mystics, and theists. We enjoy the annual services which make us uniquely Unitarian Universalist: Incoming Water Ceremony, Flower Communion, Blessing of the Pets, Free Speech Sunday, Earth Day Celebration, and more. We also offer custom services for those seeking a child dedication, coming of age ceremony, wedding or commitment ceremony, funerals, and more.

Currently, our interim minister serves two Sundays a month in the pulpit while we have guest speakers or committee coordinated services for the other two to three Sundays per month. We include the children every service before the RE program begins, and invite them to join us for the complete service about once every six weeks. Twice a year, the RE Department coordinates a service for the entire congregation.

Our sanctuary is beautified by stained glass original to the building, earthenware chalices made by a local artist and member, and banners made by members and youth. Beyond that we are enriched by varying views and voices from all members which combine to offer “something for everyone.”

Worship Committee has joint meetings monthly with the Music Committee, which include the minister, music director, Worship Chair and other congregants passionate about building inspiring and fulfilling Sunday morning services in a safe and sacred space.
