Worship Committee:

Worship & Music committee introduce monthly themes based on the program "Soul Matters". January's theme is "Possibility" which opens our minds and hearts as the new year begins. As part of the "Soul Matters" program we will begin each worship service with a unison chalice lighting focused on the theme.

Worship Committee is looking for a few good volunteers to help us prepare for Sunday morning service each week.

To ease the flow of Sunday morning worship service, we will no longer take announcements from the floor during worship service. We will do announcements after service during coffee hour in the social hall with the wireless mic. Instead of announcements we re-introduce the "Greet Your Neighbor" section of our welcome, returning to service by popular demand.

Worship Committee is asking for help to take down the holiday decorations on Tuesday January 5th 7-9pm, enjoy doing a good deed for HUUC with cookies and coffee.

Next Worship & Music Committee Meeting:

WUUT:

Who Is WUUT?
Spear-headed 4 years ago by Rebecca St. Clair, our HUUC youth group has chosen the identity "WUUT" which is an acronym for Welcoming Unitarian Universalist Teens and pronounced like "w00t" a term born of internet gamers and now used as an exclamation of excitement. Our youth group has about 8 regular attendees, 3 of which are "UU kids", 2 of which are congregational members, and the remaining being friends of our "UU kids". With 4 regular advisors and some committed stand-ins, we have recently been planning more outreach activities to attract new and younger members such as croquet tournaments, bonfires, the HUUC Halloween party, and movie nights. While the HUUC Sunday morning RE program concentrates on religious education, youth at WUUT concentrate on social outreach, peer support, learning life lessons & skills, and having fun. If you or someone you know is interested in participating in or attending WUUT, contact Jessica Sheldon for more information.

WUUT meets every Thursday on the lower level of the HUUC building, 7pm to 9pm
